Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Moving and getting promoted all in the same span of time has made everything a little crazy for me. But the issue of no internets is now resolved. I bought a kindle fire as a birthday gift to myself. So now I am able to keep in touch as much as possible. It is still going to be a few days until my next review but I just wanted to reassure you guys that I am still here and not dead. Lol. :)

Hi , My name is Marie , Anny’s sister. Im here visiting her for the day so we decided to have girl’s beauty day. After plucking our eyebrows and before dying our hair, we applied these masques. Now, mine smells so good I could eat it but my face harden to the point where it feels weird to talk. It was messy and sticky to apply but it made me feel like a little kid again, playing with elmer’s glue. It cracked all around my mouth and chin. It didn’t turn my face purple. My face looked like plastic and it was hard to peel off. It kept breaking into small pieces. I ended up having to wash it off. But my skin feels silky smooth. The whole time, Anny and I were quoting Goldmember, “Quickly, I’m peeling. Save me from myself.” It has its good sides and it’s bad sides. I would recommend it because the smell and the feel of my skin afterwards are totally worth it!

So my sister is visiting for the day and we decided to have a little beauty treatment. Along with doing our eyebrows and dying our hair, we are using two different kinds of beauty masks that the local Walgreens was selling 5 for 5$. This was the kind I decided to use. First impression. It smells awful. It is also hard to apply and is sticky as hell. It gets EVERYWHERE. It definitely hardens quickly. It took less than 10 minutes for it to completely harden. I looked like a plastic barbie doll. It didn’t crack at all during the drying process and removal was a breeze. It came off in large sections and the little bits that left behind were easily washed off. My skin feels fantastic!Just be careful not to get it in your hair or eyebrows during the application process. Those were a bit annoying to remove. Despite the smell, I would recommend this to anyone!

Hard Candy Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss

Who has two thumbs and LOVES HC products? THIS GIRL! Really, I am never disappointed with them. (I wonder if they make a foundation…) This lip gloss is tingly in all the right ways. It isn’t sticky, smells amazing, and has a cute tint to it. (I have “Uptown Girl”). The packaging is cute/sexy and I feel like such a girly girl when I use it. The tingling sensation definitely gives me that cute little pout that us girls look for, and you guys adore. A must have in any girls purse!

Almay Clear Complexion Makeup Foundation

In my never-ending search to find a foundation that I was happy with, I decided to try Almay Clear Complexion in ‘Warm 700’. Again, I was let down. I normally do not buy Almay products but I decided to give it a shot since I was looking for a new foundation and my old brands disappointed me. (Except for TIGI but there was no way I was going to afford that right now). It was greasy feeling, which is something I CANNOT deal with when it comes to my makeup. Also, the texture on my skin made it look so apparent that I was wearing foundation. Now I normally do not have a pore problem but when I applied this makeup, it made me look like Robert Davi:

I try mixing it a bit with the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse I have left. It helps a bit but I would prefer NOT to have to doctor up my foundation just to make it work. I also have to use powders and bronzers to buff out the odd look it gives me. Thumbs down, dolls.

Stash Herbal Tea & Truvia Calorie-free Sweetener

So I decided to do both of these items together since I drink them both together, and it just makes sense, doesn’t it? I will however, try to break up the reviews a little bit.

Stash Herbal Tea Sampler is a caffeine-free herbal tea that comes in 9 flavors. Those flavors are Acai (ah-sigh-E) Berry, Blueberry Superfruit, Chamomile, Cinnamon Apple Chamomile, Lemon Ginger, Licorice Spice, Mango Passionfruit, Peppermint, and Wild Raspberry Hibiscus. In the sample pack, you are provided with 2 bags of each flavor. Unfortuantely, I have not been able to try ALL of them just yet, given that it has been 70 degrees out and I am less inclined to drink hot beverages. But when it gets a little colder on some nights, I have tried some of them out. Cinnamon Apple Chamomile is DELICIOUS and the smell is intoxicating. I am also a fan of the Acai Berry and Mango Passionfruit. Peppermint wasn’t my go to drink just because I am not a big peppermint drink fan. Kinda reminds me of toothpaste. Peppermint drinks in general, I mean. Not just the tea. And I am a little hesitant to try the Licorice Spice, just because i am not a fan of licorice. i may try the Lemon Ginger soon because I am coming down with a bit of a cold. Lemon and ginger have healing properties that will help stop it in it’s tracks before it gets worse.

Truiva Calorie-free Sweetner is a zero calorie sugar substitute which gives you the sweetness desired but without the guilt. This wasn’t anything new to me because my boyfriend’s mom uses Truvia in a lot of things. Her coffee, tea, desserts, salad dressing (she makes her own balsamic vinaigrette). So far I have had no complaints. :D It is quite yummy.

This is my next entry for another product I received in my Influenster’s Love VoxBox! Obviously, I wanted to try out the lasting power of these nail polish stickers before I wrote about them. And I must say, I am impressed! I work in the restaurant industry where we wear powdered gloves, constantly change them, and wash our hands regularly. This normally takes a toll on nail polish. It chips, dulls, whatever. This product, however, lasted for a good solid week before showing ANY sort of wear and tear. To be honest, I was giving it 24 hours after I applied it. It was just too easy. Just peel the size that fits your nail off the plastic backing and apply to your clean nail. then just file off the edge, and voila! Instant manicure! The design I received was “KDS14”, which personally wasn’t my style. But I did get compliments on them and it did tempt me to try out the others (KDS13 & KDS03, for example). And taking it off was EASY. When I didn’t feel like wearing them anymore, I just peeled them off. No damage to my nail, no fuss, no problem. I LOVED it. Gillette Venus & Olay Razor

This was another item I got in my VoxBox. I was super excited about trying this razor out! The package contains One razor, one cartridge, and one shower hook. The cartridge has the razor blades surrounded by the olay soap but not like you’ve seen before. Instead of the blades being encased in a bar of soap, There are two flexible strips of soap the top and the bottom of the blades. This helps for strange areas, like your knees, that don’t just run straight up and down. And not having to deal with globs of shaving cream was nice for a change. It left my skin feeling smooth and soft after I got out of the shower with no nicks or cuts, which I am notorious for. The only downside with this product, is that because of the soap being there, I can’t sharpen my blades like I would with a regular razor (tip at bottom), so I would have to replace the blades a lot more then I usually would. But at this point, the way my legs feel, it might just be worth it.

Tip: To make your blades last longer, rub your razor on your jeans but in the opposite direction that you would shave. So instead of pulling up, you would be pushing down, but holding the razor the same way. Confused? lol

Requested Review: Maybelline Baby Lips

A few days ago, I got an anonymous request to review the Maybelline Baby Lips lipbalm. After a bit of searching, I found it at a Walmart in NY while visiting family. Now this doesn’t mean that this lipbalm will be impossible for you to find at your local drugstore. I probably just didn’t see it during my search in CT. I got “pink punch” which is the pink one (obvs) all the way to the left. I tried it out as soon as I got back to my car and I must say, I was pleased. The packaging wasn’t something I expected from maybelline. But the funky colors are kinda fun. It has a pleasant smell and flavor to it (though I don’t advise licking it or anything lol). It also has a slight tint to it, which was surprising but nice. It wasn’t an obnoxious coverage of color but a slight hue of pink that I enjoyed. The lipbalm also went on very smoothly and wasn’t waxy or greasy. And when it soaked into my lips, it made them feel SOOO soft! This is definitely an A+ in my book. Bonus, it was inexpensive as well. :D Thank you for the request! I now have a new lipbalm that I love!

Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar

Of COURSE this was the first thing I tried out in my VoxBox! I’m such a fattie lol. In any case, I already had a love affair with Ghirardelli’s Truffles (which come in a variety of flavors and sooooo sinful), so it didn’t take a lot of discussion for me to tear into this bar. It especially helps when your boyfriend had just been a jerk to you and you need some sweet, sweet comfort (or the satisfaction of biting something :D ). And let me tell you guys, this did not let me down. It was smooth and creamy and freakin’ delicious! I definitely think it is worth the $3 for some comforting satisfaction.

Tip: To make your chocolate last longer, don’t just gobble it down but let each bite melt in your mouth. It takes a little while which helps you not eat the whole thing in 2.5 seconds. Also, it really lets you savor and taste the chocolate.
